Jason W. Johnson

USAF Service Medal Veteran
Derry, NH

I began my career in the USAF as a supply chain manager, where I earned the USAF's supply chief recognition award during a deployment and a year later Airman of the quarter. Since then, I have accumulated nearly 20 years of experience in procurement, logistics and supply chain management with the USCG, various multi-million dollar firms, a few contract manufacturing plants and a small stamping house that grew 30% year over year in revenue and profit where I redesigned and implemented all purchasing and material handling end-to-end policies and procedures. I have worked on a multitude of contracts from robotics and medical devices to pharmaceuticals and space programs that were all extended. I am extremely adaptable and used to hitting the ground running with light training or initiation. My military training gave me an eye for detail as I am always looking for ways to improve my environment whether onsite or remote. I have vast experience, navigating, sourcing, negotiating and procuring a multitude of corporate services, MSA’s, MSCA’s, BOM’s, SOW’s and capital equipment across multiple industries. I have assisted with systems migrations while redesigning the end-to-end procurement process and updating the SOP’s to ISO standards. In addition to intimate knowledge of working within government contract requirements, I am familiar with lean/JIT manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, ISO, TS, GMP, DFAR, TINA and FDA requirements. In many roles I have developed subordinates on procurement procedures and processes. I have a proven history of building rapport with all key stakeholders both internal and external including management, suppliers, customers, sales, quality assurance, shipping, warehouse personnel, engineering as well as those working the floor and assembly lines. My passion for my work is palpable to teammates and senior management alike. Multiple multi-million dollar contract negotiations, RFPs, CTB's, BOM development, costing, analysis and execution. I possess strong communication, leadership and project management skills. Experience sourcing for large organizations with multiple global locations and divisions. I am system savvy and proficient with large ERP/MRP systems with extensive experience in Ariba, Oracle and SAP yet have experience with smaller, less popular, more dysfunctional systems. Currently looking for a new opportunity whether another contract or FTE to combine my experience and recent graduate studies on merging both leadership styles.
